A Bit About Me

An Impassioned Writer

My love of fantasy, folklore, and all things supernatural began at a young age when my mother used to read to me as a child. She instilled a love of literature in me through classics like the Hobbit, Dune, D'Laires Book of Greek Myths, and others which still thrives inside my heart today. As I grew I became fascinated with the macabre and my interests started to change. By the time I finally picked up the pen, I had been corrupted by horror fiction. Subsequently my work is heavily influenced by Lovecraft, King, and Shelley. Though I delighted in the dark and brutal, I never lost my love of fantasy world building. I loved the worlds created by great luminaries like Tolkien, Butcher, and Rothfuss. As a result, my work ends up landing somewhere between high fantasy, horror, and urban fantasy.

I have written several short stories including Footsteps in the Darkness, which made the short list for the 2016 Fish Publishing Flash Fiction Prize. I am currently working on my debut novel Abyssal Tides, a supernatural thriller set in modern day Massachusetts, in between my short stories and D&D supplements. Check out my newsletter for updates on everything I'm working on.

When not concocting new monsters  for my players to face in my home game or relaxing on the beach with my wonderful fiancée, Madison, I can be found most days with my faithful labrador retriever, Bam, writing away in my sunny Florida office.
